1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
Cream together shortening and sugars. Mix in remaining ingredients. Roll dough into balls and dip in sugar before placing on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 350.
