Caramel Corn

2 c. brown sugar
1/4 lb. margarine or butter
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar

Cook for 5 minutes, add 1 teaspoon soda and stir mixture until it foams. Pour over popcorn. Bake in 200 oven for 1 hour. Stir once while baking.
