1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 lb. pea pods (fresh or frozen)
2 pkgs. instant Chinese noodles, cooked (without seasoning packets added)
3 T. soy sauce
3 T. oil
3 T. cornstarch
3 T. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
Slice partly frozen steak into very small bite-size slices. Marinate in soy sauce, oil, cornstarch, sugar and pepper for at least 1/2 hour. Stir fry mushrooms first in about 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet or wok. Remove. Add more oil and stir fry pea pods for 2 to 3 minutes, then cover and steam for about 5 minutes or until slightly tender. Remove. Next stir fry beef and marinade until cooked through. Add mushrooms, pea pods, and noodles to wok and mix together. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
