Applesauce Cookies

1/2 c. butter or shortening

1 c. white sugar

1 egg

2 c. flour

1/2 tsp. cloves

1/2 c. nuts

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. applesauce

1/2 c. raisins

Cream butter or shortening and sugar together. Add egg, then the flour and the rest of the ingredients. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
