1 green pepper
2 or 3 green onions (stalks and all opt.)
1 (28-oz.) can crushed tomatoes (or several fresh tomatoes)
4 T. lemon juice
Liquid hot sauce or chopped jalapeno peppers*
1 tsp. garlic seasoning
1 T. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
(*Liquid hot sauce is better in that it makes for more consistency, although some folks like the heat wave created by the bits of jalapeno.) Saute peppers and onions. Add tomatoes. This recipe is delicious and for salsa lovers is relatively inexpensive, 1/3 the cost of store brands.
