Appetizer: Spinach Dip

1 c. sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise
1 med. onion (chopped)
1 pkg. Knorr vegetable soup mix
1 10-oz. pkg. chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 can sliced water chestnuts

Mix all ingredients together either the night before or early on the day of serving.  Refrigerate.  Serve as a dip with vegetables or chips.  Hawaiian bread is great, also.  Yield: 3 1/2 cups.
